The goal of the project was to build a temporary installation which related with a certain group found within Salt Lake City. My team chose to work with people waiting at the bus stop. Our final project both showcased the act of waiting as well as eased the wait time of the bus stop users for the day. Normally waiting for the bus is a solitary time, but with the installation in place, there was great success in creating interaction between people who use public transportation.
Machine of Perception

The goal was to create an installation which would give scale to the vast emptiness of the Bonneville Salt Flats. In developing a machine of perception, the group successfully created a living breathing creature which resided in the dead space. The curves of the installation bent the straight horizon, while the vibrant colors contrasted with the land and sky. The sculpture moved and flowed, producing movement within the static surrounding.
